Welcome to our Health and Well-being section. We aim to encourage our pupils to deepen their focus on health and well-being which will support the attainment, achievement and happiness of the pupil’s staff and the wider community.
We provide a comprehensive physical activity programme and pupils have at least two hours of directed physical education a week. There is a wide range of after-school fitness clubs (Football, Athletics, table tennis. Tennis and cricket.) available and intra-school competitions and competitive tournaments provide many opportunities for our pupils to be involved and enjoy an active lifestyle.
This page contains school documents and polices which relate to Health and Well-being:
“If children feel safe, they can take risks, ask questions, make mistakes, learn to trust, share their feelings, and grow.”
Our Healthy Curriculum
“Keeping your body healthy is an expression of gratitude to the whole cosmos- the trees, the clouds, everything.”
Behaviour, mental health and inclusion
“The key to a healthy life is having a healthy mind.”
We have also included information about our fantastic Sunshine club wrap around care: breakfast club from 7.30-8.45am and the after school club provision from 3.30 – 6.00pm.
Dollis Primary School is committed to raising awareness, increasing understanding and ensuring that we can and do make a difference to the children in our care and to our community. Our school strives to be a place where all children are well educated in an environment that is safe, secure, healthy and happy.
